Tea Beside the Orchard is within a barn in an ancient apple orchard.
From February 2023 we have entered a new era. Our new commercial kitchen will enable us to offer breakfast, cooked lunches and afternoon tea. Our expanded seating area will give us the scope to take more wedding and party bookings.
We bake our cakes, scones, sausage rolls and turnovers in house daily we also make a range of jams to serve with our afternoon teas (we also sell the jam which is extremely popular). We offer afternoon teas in our tea room or in our garden where we have 17 tables, a children’s play area which we will expand shortly and our new ’Snack Shed’ will offer drinks, ice creams and sundaes.
We can deliver our afternoon teas from Rye to Bexhill. Our cakes can only be called eclectic and are literally ‘of the moment’ often using the local fresh fruits which we sell in the shop. We also offer gluten, dairy free and vegan options. Our cakes can even be ordered to take away!
